Our collaboration with Sogeti started 12 years ago. At Ethicon Endo-Surgery, we had reached a critical point in the development of many of our projects. We realized we needed additional resources and decided to outsource. While internal resources certainly have their advantages, they also present several challenges. For example, you have to create a pool of internal experts for specific technologies. What happens when those technologies change? In fact, Sogeti has even helped us in areas outside their responsibilities.  For instance, five years ago we had a problem with a platform. While it wasn’t supported by Sogeti at the time, they still took care of it and managed the situation. They’ve proven to deliver beyond our expectations and as a result, half of the group that’s now here on a contract basis are with Sogeti!

In addition to their expertise in our business and their highly talented people, we’ve also been impressed with their flexibility and commitment to offer the best solutions. Years ago Sogeti did not have an off-shore centre. After spending time understanding our business needs, they realized that utilizing off-shore resources would be the best option for our company. With this, they decided to invest in off-shore resources and expanded their company. This business decision has proved to be worthwhile for both companies and we’ve enjoyed the benefits of these resources.
